I have ants on the plants in my garden...how do I get rid of them
Comments (9)There are many ways to get rid of fire ants. You can use a mixture of sugar and borax. Pour the mixture around the ant hills, and the ants will carry it inside the colony, killing it off. Another solution is the sugar substitute, Equal or Nutri-Sweet. These have been known to be poisonous to ants. Just pour it around the hill and you will see little any bodies laying around in a couple days. Like the others have said, if it's garden ants let them be - unless it's a huge infestation. Comments (7)Look at Miranda which I think has the same parents as Arabella, but is darker blue or at some of the River series (Mississippi River, Star River) which may or may not be different enough in color for you. Comments (3)here is a lesson ... those are single leaves ... from the trunk ... yes.. all 5 leaves and that stem.. is technically one leaf .. it falls off as one ... ever after 30 plus years in the garden.. it mystifies me.. so i always bring it up ... and it also narrows down the possible plants it could be ... ash being the usual suspect ... most likely.. once you google up some images.. you are going to find a mature seeding tree.. very close.. if you have that many rogue seedlings around ... many newbs .. get excited about a free tree... but let me suggest ... on some level.. its a garbage tree.. that self sows too many seedlings under and around it ... and no matter where you stand today on that thought.. sooner or later.. after you have pulled out your hundredth.. or thousandth seedling.. you might understand why i say it ... ken...See MoreNeed help making spring garden but I'm only 12 and I don't have any $$
