Importing roses from Canada - how difficult?

Can I import my 5 or 6 rose plants I want, myself, from Canada? Like an idiot I didn't do a search first, to find other posts about this subject. So I asked the "regular rose" forum about driving across the Canadian border, buying roses and driving back. Then, only then, did I search on Old Garden Roses and found a thread only a few months old, but it was mostly about importing roses from European nurseries. But since it's old roses and Canada that I'm most interested in, I'll ask it here too:

If I order roses from a Canadian nursery such as Hortico, then drive there, (sightseeing Niagara Falls on the way, nice trip) and pick up my order, what sort of paperwork will I need at the border in order to be allowed to bring my new roses in? Has anyone ever done this, do-it-yourself importing?
