Here is my situation; The tractor runs fine when it isn't

cutting. New carb kit the float was fine in fact all the

old gaskets and jets looked fine It has fresh fuel and

the gas cap is venting. all the safty switchs seem to work

it mows just swell untill i get into the heavy grass then

it starts to flood it spits gas till it dies. I thought the blade spindles bearing were shot but they are fine

it doesn't smoke but the breather smokes alittle when

it is under heavey load could it be the govenor acting up

when it is under heavy Load? i just can't figure this one

out new fuel filter new oil new air cleaner?????

You might well be on track with the idea of it being a sticky governor. My little farm tractor acted similarly a few years back and that was what it was. Now I oil up the linkage every spring and fall and have not had any problems with it.

That carb has the fuel pump built in.
Probably a hole in the diaphragm. Engine under load pumps excessive crankcase pressure through diaphragm and "blows" gas all over.
My guess is that a fuel pump repair kit would fix it.

Seat switch connector has a built in "shorting bar" which will close the kill circuit when the connector is unplugged from the switch. Unplugging the connector from the switch gives the same results as if the seat is not occupied. Seat switch is just one switch in the safety interlock circuitry that can cause the engine to have no spark. The brake pedal interlock switch is actually 2 switches in one assembly. One of the brake switches is dedicated to starter inhibition, and the other switch is to kill spark and stop the engine. The PTO switch also has a circuit dedicated to the kill wire. You can disconnect the kill wire from the magneto to see if that restores spark. If doing that restores spark, something is grounding the kill wire somewhere. Could be a chafed wire.

Well , I would think to the ignition switch , Red is Power (fusible) Green is Ground Potential . You will find the origin some where between the Ignition Switch and the Battery where the male ends plug into your female connectors .

With a volt meter have wife turn the key and hold on. Check if power connected to starter motor has power. If no, backtrack follow cable back to relay check bolt, if still no check the power cord going into the relay from the battery. last place u get voltage is your culprit. (likely relay). Relay is the only part to physically click when starting.

Mok and Bill 1st off Thank You I thought that i had it licked when i noticed the Gov was alittle sticky but
that wasn't it and Bill it has a new diapham in it
i put a brand new kit in it so my guess is what You
mentioned about the breather i noticed all the lines
Fuel/vaccume were secured tight except for the one that
comes out of the breather so i trimmed it back and
secured it with a worm clamp i was wondering if a loose
vaccume line might cause this? maybe the breather? it
can't be a leaky float or it would spit all the time
it just floods out under load in heavy grass the reason
that i thought it might be the breather is because when
i seal off the breather line it will start back up...

But is it working or not?
A bad reed valve in the breather might also cause the problem, if it sticks open.

Not familar with that engine, My first guess would be remove the plugs clean, gap or replace them, then I would try to adjust the carb. or look for an intake leak after the carb. I would also remove the air cleaner and verify the choke position. After that I would check the compression.

No it's not i went to a local shop and they told me that
this model has the carb with 4 screws (fuel pump) and that
they were crappy carbs he said that he had a customer with
the same problem and the only way he was able to fix it was
by replacing the top of that model carb so i ordered one to
the tune of $57.00 that had better work what a endless game
chasing your tail...
