Rozanne always droops for me after a move - even if I haven't split it up. I would expect her to perk up in a day or two. I wouldn't overwater her, one good drink at transplanting time and wait. Expect her to need some supplemental watering for awhile after transplanting, but be cautious, don't water much unless it gets hot which is not the case here at this time. I also never fertilize when moving things, although I may improve the soil some, or in the case of some things that don't like heavy rich soil, thin it down some with gravel or Profile. As for the campanulas I can't help you much. They generally hate my wettish yard. Are your campanulas large nursery plants? These are usually much bigger than home grown in the garden plants at this time of the year. Did you acclimate them to the outdoors for a week or so before planting them out? We're still pretty cold here at night, and although the perennials are cold hardy, if they have been sitting inside or partially inside in a protected area of the nursery, they can take a hit when abruptly moved outside into the cold. Bigger plants & plants in bloom often look awful after transplanting. They may take some time to adjust. Just thoughts, don't know if they fit or not. Again, I would wait & see for awhile. Ella, I don't have 'Rozanne' but I would go ahead and test her as a Woodlander. One of Rozanne's parents is G. himalayense in which I have growing in several spots in the garden, full sun, part shade and shade and they all do very well. In two or three years, if she doesn't bloom as prolific as you expected, she can easily be moved to more sun. Sharon

Let it establish roots since it is most likely in shock from replanting. Keep the plants well watered even if your soil is heavy. As long as there is no standing water, your plants will be fine. Don't mist them. That doesn't really do anything to help. Give them nice, deep waterings. Your geraniums will grow some this year, but you will definitely notice a difference in size and vigor next spring and in coming years when more established.

Hi, I just wanted to add to the ESummer discussion. I am surprised about dissatisfaction with the color etc. I love the mophead hydrangeas and not having been able to keep one flowering in my yard before was a great disappointment to me. So I was delighted with the Endless Summer I had last year. It bloomed a lot and my blue flowers were a fine color blue to me, in an unamended clay/loam soil with a ph of 6.4. It was a vigorous grower and the leaves were healthy all summer. It was placed in morning sun only just under the dripline of a silver maple tree. No wilt despite two months of barely any rain but supplemental watering and lots of heat last summer. I added an oakleaf hydrangea to the yard last year, and it died back to the ground over the winter and I have one little sprout just barely up. The ES on the other hand has a bushy 8" growth covered with healthy green leaves. So if the ESummer blooms again and stays healthy for me, I will be very grateful to have a dependable mophead in the garden with pretty blue flowers. I will try to remember to come back to this thread later when the plant blooms and post a photo of it. :-)
