Hello Gentlemen! My mom and dad bought a Craftsman LT2000 riding lawn mower around 2009/2010. The mower looks great! However, it won't start. I'm assuming it needs a new battery. My mom wants to sell it but we have no idea how much we should sell it for. I'm not finding anything online and I don't know anyone with lawn mower knowledge. What price would you suggest for a great looking older mower that doesn't run? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

By the way, if one goes to the Lawn & Garden Tractors Forum on the website, the Kohler discussion thread comes up. So (1) posting on an old discussion DOES NOT allocate it to the string ball of threads, (2) in fact it reinserts that thread onto the active file and (3) cpmsequently it appears on the current list of âÂÂOn topicâ discussions. (Curious category, one wonders if we still belong). Therefore, with the GardenWeb way of doing things, my posting (a) made it easy for everyone to locate the earlier discussions. It also (b) enhanced retention and retrieval of earlier useful comments, (c) retains the name of the original poster and creator of the thread, and (d) consequently it may bring others with experiences to offer into the discussion. Not bad for an eveningâÂÂs work. For guys like me, "Newbies" seems to be the operative term, which does seem unnecessarily condescending and not overly complementary. For example, I may be the oldest one on the thread, and certainly my mower is among the oldest. The first, but probably not the second, also applies to using (and fighting with, and yes trying to mind read the designers of) lawnmowers. Must I really be thought of as a âÂÂnewbieâÂÂ, canâÂÂt I just be âÂÂone of the guysâÂÂ?

Now if you would have took the old coil, and holding it by the spark plug wires, dipped it into a cup of Marvel Mystery Oil, that would have fixed it too...... But now, since the mower is fixed, and the problem was the coil, on the MAGNUM,.... Did he check for voltage on the kill wire circuit, which would have damaged the old coil, and WILL damage the new one? That is the $100 question. Coils do go out, but many times, if not most, they are damaged by stray voltage that gets into the kill wire circuit. Partial voltage damage, then the coil comes and goes out when hot. Full 12 volts, it goes real quick..... That is the question now....... Fish

I need some help if any on here would mind. My Husvarna riding mower 48 inch yth2348 with a intel v-twin 23hp briggs model#445577 type 0755E1 motor . It started acting like it wanted to die going up hill about 2 years ago but it ran fine after it was on level ground or going down hill. a couple days ago it finally cut off on me and could not get it running. I checked around the fuel pump and i noticed the vacuum hose going from the fuel pump to the valve cover was split. I took the valve cover off and tried to crank it and when i did i noticed a stream of oil shooting out as it turned over.. Didn't think much of that so put the cover back on and I replaced the hose and it started but started smoking really bad and doesn't seem to have very much power. This is the first time it has ever smoked any and now it has a miss in it as well. This all happened all of a sudden on the smoking. I also noticed when i got it back running that oil is seeping out of the fuel pump , i would think that is from the stream of oil i seen when i took the cover off is going up in the vacumn hose now that the cover is back on. Can anyone tell me what would cause these issues on this motor. everything that could possibly be wrong and order to check them first.
