Thrips disappeared over night!

Thrips disappeared over night, or so it seems. I just noticed yesterday that roses are opening all over the garden that have no thrips damage and not a thrips can be seen among their petals.

I haven't sprayed with anything except a sea weed solution a couple of weeks ago. I don't use insecticides and nothing much works anyway from what I hear. The general advice I've read is just wait for 'the beneficials' to show up, and that there are beneficial thrips that eat flower thrips. What else eats them? Anybody know?

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen a dramatic reduction in thrips. I hope so! I'm in San Antonio, Texas.
