You mean you have room for a Christmas tree? You need to fill that greenhouse up with plants. Brrrrr! Merry Christmas. I dont have room for a Christmas tree. I guess I could string lights up around one of the palm trees.

Not new, this is its third winter. Seedlings will go where the tree sits, in a few short weeks.

Everybody has a different idea of what's appropriate. Calla lilies are sprouted in a pot; there's some society garlic and daylilies potted to get head starts in the spring, cuttings of various tender perennials are growing on, not many great big things except the epiphyllum oxypetalums.

These begonias fried in the sun in the summer of 2007, sat stunted under a live oak this past summer. This fall I dug and potted them and they've rewarded me. Common, yes, but seasonally pretty with red blossoms.

In between the begonias is a rooted gardenia cutting. When I cut and bring in gardenia blooms in the summer, sometimes the stems root. This is the latest.
My joy is in the growing.

I seen the penta seeds on summerhill seeds. I love those begonias too. I have three differnet kinds growing in the gh. I had to order more geranium seeds from swallowtail seeds they love it here. Isnt the gh's so much fun. We have been blasted with so much snow it is nice to go out there and see flowers growing in the winter time. Happy holidays to you and yours....Barb
