Troy Bilt horse tiller

I have a 1973 vintage Horse tiller that I am repairing. The shoes on the fork that shifts the cluch dog needed to be replaced. I am also replacing all of the seals and bearings while I am at it. I am having trouble removing the clutch fork shaft, which needs to be removed in order to replace the O-rings on the eccentric shaft. This is the last part that needs to be dis-assembled and it has me stumped! I have not found any owners manuals or parts diagrams that go into enough detail to explain how to remove it. Has anyone done this or have experience on how it is done?
Thanks!
John
