Dividing Catmint

skelkins

Hi. I hope someone here can help me -- I'm not a very experienced gardener.

I have a clump of Walker's Low catmint that I meant to divide and move this spring, but things came up and I never got around to it. It's huge and somewhat ratty looking, and in a poorly-chosen spot. I'd hoped to make two catmints out of it, because there's another place in my garden where I would like several more of them. Would it be okay to do that now, do you think, or is it too late in the season? Temperatures here are in the low 70s and projected to remain in the 70s all week.

Also, if it's really too late to safely divide it, do you think it would be okay to transplant it?
