Alicia, do you grow any other white rugosas besides Sir Thomas? I plan to get a white one sometime. Your photos are so lovely.

Hi amelie325: I checked out the roses you listed in HMF. You have a great selection, that's the first time I see William Jesse, it's beautiful ... please inform when they bloom, would like to know how they smell. I am leaning toward Old Garden Roses for the scent. I have 15 Austins ... but when I bought and sniffed Comte De Chambord, Jacques Cartier, Paul Neyron, Annie L. McDowell, and Gruss an Teplitz .... I'm hooked ever since. I'm excited about these 6 roses coming this Wednesday.... I got them for $8 each during Roses Unlimited's summer sale last week: Lawrence of Arabia, Summer Samba, Duchesse de Rohan, Angel Face, Le Rire Nias, and Gene Boerner (this has no scent unless the weather is cold, but it's almost thornless & DR).

elle, I have many of the roses you listed, but one I've always wanted is Kronprincessin Viktoria. Between my rose addiction and major construction that happened in my yard last year, I still have over 50 roses in pots that need to get into the ground. I hope to have most of them done by the end of this year. WHEW! I'll let you know when I have enough growth to take cuttings.

It looks like Hoang’s mislabeled rose could be Princess Alexandra of Kent. Heres a few pinks from my garden. The Faun Sweet Drif Abe Darby Light pink Sun Rosa Wedding Bells Spirit of Freedom looking a little crispy, but usually a show stopper.

Thank you very much Patricia and Carla. The only other white rugosa that I have so far is R. rugosa alba. It's performed very well, past my expectations. The scent of alba is almost pure cloves.

Oh my gosh those were wonderful! As time goes by I'm really seeing the beauty of singles and rugosas. All very pretty.

I like your baptisia. We planted one late last fall and it is coming back now. Might have to try a white one like yours also.

Thank you hutnem. Renae is a climber. This rose had to be dug and cut back for storage in pots while our house was moved, so it's basically had to start over. We replanted it next to one of the horse stalls last spring. Here it is, just starting its first flush. We have 2 of them.

This rose is fragrant, thornless, reblooms very well, has thin limber canes that are easy to train and healthy beautiful foliage. I really like it.

I'll take a picture of the Ernest Calvat bush tomorrow. It's still tiny.
