Anyone have any idea what variety this rose is?

I think I just killed one like it that I transplanted and very much want to replace it, thank you!!!

I don know what it is. Are you sure you killed the bush? How long ago did you transplant it? I've done some unmercifully cruel transplants and had the bush survive.

I was going to say Sunset Celebration, but I don't think it looks quite as yellow as your picture. There are so many roses that look alike!

Looks like Arizona to me. Arizona is usually found in big box stores, and usually is infected with Rose Mosaic Virus.

You are better off getting a different light orange, for example, one of these: Weeks Orange Roses , which will also be easier to find at any reputable nursery that carries Weeks roses (which most do), and which will probably produce more blooms for you. Arizona is a little stingy.

I thought Pink Peace too; especially due to the white edges on it. Beth makes a great point and I believe she has more roses than I have seen, however, if you are looking for a rose that has the appearance of the image you submitted, Pink Peace would be a great place to start looking. If you are trying to find out exactly what that rose is, you may want to take more pictures, including full bush shots, and gather up as much information as possible about the rose, then go from there. Yes, it's a beautiful rose, but I'm skeptical. This rose was introduced in the US under two names back in 2015, and at this point, there are only three growers on HMF with photos, and two favorite votes. If the rose is so great, why isn't Kordes flogging it all over the place and why are not more people at various world locations growing it? Sounds like another Blue Bayou to me. Diane

I am painfully familiar with what you describe, Sylvia. I lived in Canyon Country from 1994 through 2006 and had my garden in Newhall from 1989 through 2007. You can see what grew there here on its Help Me Find page. Keep in mind, that garden was exclusively watered by HAND. Encino, Zone 10b, followed Newhall's 9b, where that garden "experienced" one-hundred degrees variance from winter to summer (15 F to 115 F). Encino used to be cool in the afternoons until we changed everything by paving too much; building huge buildings with enormous roofs and dumping too much "stuff" in the air. The last "winter" we were there, the average December temperatures were in the high seventies to mid eighties. Now, thankfully, I'm back in Zone 9b again, only this one is nine miles from the Pacific with only sand dunes and open fields between us. Today was our hottest day of this year, 77, but tomorrow is to be 86, with a gradual slide over the next week back into the mid to low sixties!

Thank you! Both look like great candidates. It’s definitely a tea. The other two that match the ”look” is Marie Van Houtte and Madame Berkeley. Hmm. This rose is growing in my neighborhood and looks like it’s been here for a while. It doesn’t have much scent. The color is very bright peach with pink outer petals. The shape of the flowers is perfection.

Looks like About Face to me. About Face used to be fairly common at garden shops--don't know about recently. Is the inside of the petals more golden and the outside more orangey? If so, About Face.

Looks like 'About Face' to me, or perhaps 'Tuscan Sun'.

Not sure I killed it, but the canes are dead to the ground (scaped and they are brown and dead), but the roots are white and moist and look alive. I can't tell if it's grafted or own root. It isn't About Face I dont think--my rose is quite large, clearly a hybrid tea and not a floribunda. I don't think it's the other suggestions here either as the petals are very straight--they don't curl back as they open and the suggestions do. Wonder if I will ever be able to replace!!

Pretty sure that's About Face. Grandiflora (not floribunda) that gets large. Flowers are a good size and my plants are all 6-7' tall. Check the pics on helpmefind.com/roses.....they are almost identical to yours.
