Comments (1)You might need to consult a local arborist. Or you might ask the question in the trees forum....See MoreItalian cypress
Comments (4)floridavid, my experience has been mostly with Arizona Cypress, a cousin to Italian Cypress, but with all the cypress I have observed, I've never seen the weight of the cones have much effect on the branches. That said, if that is the case, then whatever you do this year to correct the problem, (whether you remove the cones or remove branches, etc.) will have to be done again and again and again routinely in the future. If that is not a position you want to be in, perhaps you should consider planting a better cypress cultivar now close to these and then removing your existing trees in 3-5 years when the new ones become established....See MoreLeaves turning brown on newly planted Italian Cypresses
Comments (1)trim it up a bit and apply Bayer Tree and Shrub as directed on bottle. same issues here on cypress......it works....See More40' Italian Cypress shrubs responsible for pushing fence over?
Comments (6)Maybe if they are growing into the fence they could be pushing it. Is that the situation? If the fence is leaning towards them I would think its an erosion problem the trees are slowing marginally if anything. The roots...I dunno. I would need a pic. They could push at it I guess. Becareful. It might be easier to just go fix the fence than start something with a neighbor. I will boycott the local baseball team so I'm not above grudges but hey, you'll be next to the guy for awhile....See Moremikebotann
