The stay is overnight. They hook you up to a lot of electrodes and put sensors near your nose to measure your breathing. It's hard to sleep with all of that gear on but you don't have to sleep the entire night for them to get enough data to make a diagnosis. All of the sensors that are hooked to you are measuring your body movements, brainwave activity, eyelid movement, breathing patterns, etc. If your diagnosed with sleep apnea, then you go back for the same overnight study but this time in addition to all of the sensors you also wear one of the CPAP masks, or nasal pillow systems. The technician will determine the amount of air flow that is needed to prevent you from having the apneas.

we too, live in an old farmhouse in zone 4 and are putting on a sun porch basically made up of 6 ft Pella sliding french doors with screens and will be surrounded by decking. we were able to purchase the doors (posted on craigslist) used from a apartment building replacing their balcony doors so they were only $200.00 each. we also bought a 10ft sliding french door for the main exit to the deck and main yard. So we will have 2 6 ft sections on each end and the 10fter with a full size window flanking each side, opposite the entrance of the house. we are planning tile floor with a floor drain on the south wall so that we can keep all of our house and tropical patio plants. there is a better homes and gardens magazine : PORCH & SUNROOM PLANNER available at the home centers( got mine at menards for $14.00)that has alot of nice ideas and pictures. There is one sun porch on page 48 that is base on the look of a grain silo and has a metal roof, very country looking and then on page 58 they show a nice way to complete the ceiling with cedar tongue and groove to hide the electric wire and allow the ceiling to be vaulted. hope this helps and I will post finished pics

I've done that in the past. We ended up with a free artifical tree one year. I put it in the middle of my narrow front porch in front of some windows. Then I strung dark red lights and glittery garland. It was pretty and fun. I'm trying to remember how I weighted or secured it....don't recall. My mom used to wrap boxes with a brick in them to put around the trees out front. That was always fun. I like to put decorative pillows on the wicker...I usually just wrap an outdoor pillow in holiday fabric and secure with safety pins. Lights, a pretty wreath...those are classic around here.

Our neighbor recently got one. We're getting one from the same company and we'll be using our own queen sized mattress. The frame comes in 2 boxes, owner assembles. The front piece is just one piece...it's the box that needs assembling. Took our neighbor about 2 hrs. and that included anchoring it to the wall. Manufacturer is Bedder-Way out of Indiana. Quality is solid wood, either Oak or Maple. You can get different molding, the company will cut the upright pieces to fit around your floor moldings. We absolutely love the quality. Bedderway.com
