Your Advice Please, mixing antiques with a modern style.

In my old home, I had a Kordes Robusta, I know some of you do not like this rose, but I never had any issues with it. HOWEVER, I had it seperate from my other rose gardens, it was planted to basically cover some propane tanks, the picture below was at its second year, it got to 5 x 6 and Ive seen them bigger easily. It has bright cheery red single flowers, with a slight scent (to me) its a rugosa hybrid, but with modern influnces (I like to say its like a rugosa cane with modern leaves almost).

Well long story short, I got another one this year, since I have like no seperate garden beds anymore, I basically have the option of putting this behind Fruhlingsduft in my front border, or putting it in my back unfinished gardens, Maybe slightly up the slope.

Would you mix a rose like this below with a mixed border of mostly antiques? Im more concerned about the leaves then the flowers, its not a hybrid tea form, in flower, or habit. Its a shrub of some complexity.
