I have the first five on your list, have admired Sombreieul's pictures and used to have Clothilde in the Dallas area. She was so beautiful, but her blooms balled. I couldn't stand it so never thought about getting her again. I just planted Marie Pavie next to Marie Daly. I had a hedge of MP in Dallas; they bloomed quite a bit, but I never noticed the fragrance that others mention. This will be Buff Beauty's third spring and am hoping for a lot of blooms from her. Lady Hillingdon will be two this year and she bloomed quite a lot during her first year. I love the foliage color. I hope for wonderful things from her this year. Peggy Martin and Maggie are both babies in the ground so I can't comment - except PM came with very light green foliage - is that how yours is? It's so pale I've wondered if there's not a problem. I hope your garden gives you much joy this year! I think you picked some great roses.

This year I placed a small order from both. I have ordered many times over the years from Roses Unlimited and have ALWAYS been pleased. This year was my first year ordering from Chamblees (I went on a rose buying binge, ordering 4 minis from 2 Sisters since it was closing and then I couldn't stop-ordered about 15 roses from 4 nurseries!). I had heard so many good things about Chamblees and the prices were so good. I was also very pleased. I would say the size of the plants were comparable. Since the prices from Chamblees are cheaper, I would order what you can from them AND then order what you want but they don't carry from Roses Unlimited. I was very pleased with both orders from them. My CREAM VERANDA from Chamblees was to die for; healthy, nice glossy leaves and lovely 2-3 in blooms varying from light pink to apricot, depending on the weather and practically thornless. I highly recommend it. When I lived in Richmond, VA, my birthday treat was to order my roses from RU for pickup in late March, I would drive down and stay at a motel nearby overnight and drive back the next day. If the weather had been normal, the 4-5 greenhouses would be full of blooming potted roses for sale. I would spend a good couple of hours wandering through the greenhouses and examining the roses and smelling them. It was a treat believe me. I would usually buy an additional "just have to have" rose plant or two and then drive back with my now expanded "birthday gift to me" in the back seat. All in all, they are both good nurseries and I would highly recommend them both. Jim on the East Coast

Chamblees has always been one of my favorite nurseries. I just got my 2nd order 2 Julia Childs and 3 Coral Drift. These must be popular and they probably ran out of the gallon size. I'm only letting you know since own roots are new to you. Wouldn't want you to fall over from shock incase this happens. I'm very use to bands and it doesn't scare me anymore to plant them. So when I tipped the pot over to remove the rose all of the soil fell off. Basically they were newly potted up bands. It was just that the roots had not had a chance to grow into the surrounding soil yet. They are all planted now and I'm sure the little roses well be fine as long as I don't let them run out of water. It was an unexpected shock thou. Had I known this I probably would have kept them potted a bit longer. I don't think these were meant to be shipped yet and there was a mix up. If you should start to plant and you fell that soil start to give way, Slide it back in and let it grow for a bit, Every other Rose I've ever received has been excellent and fully rooted
