building a greenhouse w/replacement windows??

Could one build a useful, all-season greenhouse with a 2 X 6 wood frame using just regular vinyl replacement windows (such as offered by Alside and similar companies?) Would this be cheaper than ordering a kit from bcgreenhouses or someone like that? Could triangular windows be obtained for the roof peak areas? I was thinking I would be able to use the "picture window" type (the ones that don't open, basically a pane of sealed double-pane glass with a vinyl frame) for the majority, a storm door for the opening. The only hard part would be designing the places where things must go through the house (like heater vent pipes, etc) and the ventilator and fan holes.
