I have decided to build a GH this year so I can garden all year-round, I priced few custom made(due to irregular size) all were way too costly, so I think the most cost effective way is to build one myself, I have a list(I think) and lots of questions;

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Location: Zone 6 NJ

Size: 12'10" x 5'9"

Frame: 2x4 treated lumber

Style: Lean-to at the back of the house facing SE.

Budget: $3000 +/-

From Charly's GH: any other GH supplier who is more reasonable ?

Sidewall: Polycarbonate 8mm 3-wall or 4 wall ?

Sidewall Height: 6ft or 8ft ? leaning toward 8ft

To join the sidewall panels: Aluminum Bar Caps ? Polycarbonate capping ? 2x2 lumber ?

Roofing material: Do I need heat-control glazing ? will sidewall Polycarbonate be sufficient ?

Heights of the roof line peak should be?

How many roof vents I will need ?

Heating: Electric or gas ? leaning toward gas.

How many shutter window ? 1 or 2 ?

What is the best all seasons fan for my GH size ?

What is the best equipment to keep humidity in check ?

Thanks again,

-Suzy-
