Do you want a bouquet or a plant?

Florist rose with pink and white stripes: 'Intuition'--ask your florist for this or other types of that color. They do exist.

Pink striped rose plants: 'Pink Intuition' is a fairly good garden rose (here). If you are in OK (sooner fan?) it will be more difficult.

'Berries and Cream' is pink and white striped. It's a climbing rose.

'Citrus Splash', 'Cabana', 'Perfume Tiger' have some pink.

If you want a plant, check with a good local garden center (not a big box store) and see what they can order from a wholesaler for you.

Thank you for the response. It doesnt matter plant or bouquet suffice. The only problem is that im currently over seas in Afghanistan. Im stationed at Little Rock AFB so if I decide to get the plant will it grow properly with all the humidity that Arkansas has?

There are lots of people who grow beautiful roses in Arkansas! I'm sure it will do great. There are many online rose nurseries that you could order it from and have it sent there. Cut roses are lovely but a plant she would have for years and years of pleasure!

Well, one thing you could do is have a florist send a bouquet this year.

Then in future, when you back are at home, check with a LOCAL rose society and ask them for a recommendation for your local area. Then give the plant, and remind your Sweetie of the bouquet you sent from half-way around the world...very romantic!

Indeed humidity can be very difficult for roses. Hopefully someone from AR can chime in on a striped rose that is easy in that area.

Peppermint Splash, Fourth of July, Rock and Roll, Berries N Cream, climbing Candyland, Stars N Stripes,Rosa Mundi and the micro-mini Charlie Brown all ought to be easy to find.
Peppermint Splash would probably be easiest as that can be ordered online from Jackson and Perkins. Most local nurseries have it this year too. (Try Green Tree Nursery)
I like Shadow Dancer, and that's available from Burlington Rose Nursery (mail order)
All the ones I mentioned grow in Kansas in my yard so I'm sure they could easily grow in Arkansas.

The mentioned Burlingtons is one source. Others would be Edmund's, Pickering, Palatine or Regan's but there are a lot more and I'm not sure who is still taking orders for this year. Although I just ordered from Burlington and Rogue Valley so I know they still are.

With Burlington you have to go to HMF to see their plant list and then email them your order. You can't oder online but they're very prompt to answer your emails.
