OOPS!!! Sorry I didn't know that about Jan. 1 being "everybody's" birthday, if a specific date isn't given. Oh well, Happy Birthday, whenever it is. :>) Mwoods, your statement about each year bringing "joy, laughter, and some tears" is so true. None of us ever knows what's ahead for us. That is a real error on GW part.
Maybe they are having some kind of technical difficulties mixing up birthdays.
I am so flattered with the birthday greetings both Carla and Judith but today was not my birthday.
My birthday was gone 3 months ago, January 5,Les birthday on the 9 and Judith is on 31st.
I noticed in my hotmail Carla sending a Birthday greeting
and decided to come on here to see if there is a thread so I can put a stop to it. And I am so glad I decided to check the forum.
Carla that is a stunning color, what is the name?

Hi Niecey, hope you had a great day anyway, even if it wasn't your birthday!

Niecey and Tom, the rose is Ebb Tide - not the greatest photo, though, too blurry. It looks like it survived the winter, but I haven't pruned yet. It's l degree celcius here this morning with wet snow....sigh...

I also have Ebb Tide, but it is quite puny, just last year I planted it.

I know Vintage sells it but I don't know if it is available right now. Mine is a small climber on a pillar. It's pretty fussy but you can see how beautiful it is.

I now know the GW birthdays are totally unreliable. I checked today and there is another Carla with my e-mail and a birthday today, totally funny. Makes me skeptical about future birthday posts.
