Greenhouse 101 ... Miniature Greenhouse

I believe I got ahead of myself a little and need some advice. I am in zone 6 and needed (or wanted) a very small greenhouse so I could go ahead and get my tomato plants, pepper plants, etc......and have a safe place for them on days the temps were to low and to help protect them a little at night. I just have a very small raised bed garden (5x25) and usually only plant 3 tomato plants, some lettuce, onions, peppers and cucumber.

I built a 2'x3' mini greenhouse that is approximately 18" high. I have a door in the back that's about 16"x16" that I can open for ventilation.

I don't know much about greenhouses and am just looking for a little advice. Should I make sure I leave the plants out or at least leave the door all the way open if temps approach 70 during the day? Also, would it help if I made a small roof vent on the top to get some circulation? Any advice would be appreciated as I've read that the smaller the greenhouse the higher the chance of it getting to warm inside.

Thanks..
