Probably not but just to be safe you can always just trim off the leaves touching the plastic. Make sure there are some small air holes in the plastic if you didn't leave the top open on the inverted cone. Dave

The only problem I've seen with trees in raised beds/fluffy soil is the wind knocking them over, but inside a greenhouse that won't be an issue. One of the biggest problems with greenhouses is that over time they build up a healthy population of pests and diseases - which is why greenhouse owners tend to spray a lot of chemicals. An easy way around this (in my experience) is to open the greenhouse up during the warm parts of the year and let mother nature deal with it. Closed up glass houses don't allow for this as well as plastic coated hoophouses with roll up doors and side panels. If you want to grow tropical fruit trees you don't need to keep the greenhouse super hot and humid in zone 8b, plenty of them thrive with winter temps close to freezing. The biggest problem I've had is that citrus and guava trees like new soil almost every year - that's a lot easier to do with container growing as opposed to in-the-ground planting. I would think that in your zone, summer cooling will be a bigger problem than winter heating. Most of my trees suffer when the temps get over 100, which can happen on a 75 degree day without major ventilation.

I am about to get a Riga XL greenhouse, but first need to take out the old asphalt driveway to prevent leaching of oil-based products. Does anyone know how much soil to remove so that I don't have contaminated soil? It is heavy clay soil. I plan to plant directly into the ground. Also we have gophers, so I am thinking of burying chicken wire that is stitched together with wire so the gophers don't just dig underneath and get into the greenhouse. Has anyone gopher-proofed a greenhouse, and if so, what did you do? I plan to make a stem wall out of mortared urbanite (old broken concrete) and do a 20" door extension so the ceiling height is good for a couple of miniature fruit trees (banana, lemon, and lime). I was thinking I would just make the urbanite wall extend into the ground, and at the bottom there would be the chicken wire maybe mortared in place sandwiched between the first couple of layers of urbanite. Does this seem reasonable? Also, I live in zone 8b. Does anyone know if I really need a greenhouse heater or is that kind of redundant? It gets around 20 degrees here very occasionally, mostly the lowest of the lows in winter are around 30 degrees. I have never gardened in a greenhouse before so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!! Do you garden a lot more with your greenhouse than before you had it?
