Morning Glory. It can be quite aggressive. Look at the spent flowers, you may be able to find some free seeds right there.

But be careful--you may never be able to get rid of it.

You can buy seeds -- they are readily available in late winter - early spring or on line. You can get a variety of mixed colors or solid colors, usually bright blue or red, or bi-colors - solids striped with white or white a white picote edge.

The seeds are really hard... when I plant them, I use a piece of sandpaper to rough up one end of a seed and sprout them on a soggy paper towel in a saucer of water. It can take 2-3 days or longer, and weeks if you don't roughen an edge.

When you plant, don't fertilize or you'll end up with elephant-sized leaves and no blooms. Another similar plant to consider is moonflower (Ipomoea alba) which has fragrant white blooms in the evening that last all night. I plant the two together - morning glories bloom during the day and moonflowers bloom open in the evening. It's a nice combination.

If you wait, your neighbors vines will be over at your house. I planted a large tuber of the same color on the left. There was 32 vines in a cluster going around the brick wall at the ground. This was about 35' from the tuber. That is some nasty stuff!

Maybe they would let you dig one up?
