"Rose Bush Removal
City of Raleigh staff recently identified the presence of Rose Rosette Disease on the climbing roses at the Raleigh Rose Garden. The diagnosis has been confirmed through a private contractor, Witherspoon Rose Culture and the appropriate treatment is removal. Staff will remove and properly dispose of the infected plants in the next 2 weeks to protect the other roses. The removal will include the climbing roses on both sides of the garden. Steps will be taken to maintain the integrity and beauty of the remaining roses and the entire landscape for the public.

For more information please contact the Horticulturist Gretchen Sedaris, 919-996-4877 or the Park Operation Supervisor Danny Morgan 919-831-6548"
