Steam cleaning in an alum./polycarb GH?

It got into the 60's today so I jump started my spring cleaning, using my EuroPro steamer on screens and windows, which got me thinking about using it in my BC GH. I know it won't harm the silicone sealant, as I've been using it for years to get aquariums super clean before reusing them and it's the same product as in my GH.

I'm not concerned about the aluminum and I've "steamed" my bare hands plenty of times while using the steamer. Just an inch from the nozzle it's all that hot and I've never been burnt.

If it's safe to use on the polycarb, it would make short work of any algae and would blast grime out of narrow spaces in the aluminum channels quickly, with no polycarb unfriendly solvents at all. The whole idea of a steamer is the fact that no cleaning products are usually necessary: just blast and wipe dry. Or not, because very little moisture remains and what there is, is literally; distilled.
