I can only guess, but I would expect 'Marianne' will easily reach 6 X 6 or more, and 'Umbra' will be about 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide, perhaps larger if your soil is rich. Both of my original plants are grown in full sun and do very well there, but both should also be somewhat shade tolerant. 'Umbra' might sucker, but not much, I wouldn't think. 'Marianne' has never suckered for me and isn't likely to. No roses like dry soils, but neither do they prosper in wet locations.....always select a well drained location and provide regular waterings, especially in year one.

Thanks Paul. I appreciate your response. Most of my yard is full sun and good draining soil. I have just a small section of dryer soil in partial shade. If either of these two roses prefered those condtions, I would put it there. My choice of spots for these roses would be morning shade and afternoon sun, will this be ideal? I am very excited about these roses, I will keep you posted.

Olga has said praising things about Marianne. I'm pretty sure it will do fine.

If you were to put one of the two in the drier, shadier spot, that should be 'Umbra' which may produce "bluer" blooms in partial shade. Both have wonderful perfumes, I hope you like them. Neither should need spraying to prevent disease.

I am just trying Umbra this year, but my Marianne is 3+ year old. It was trimmed several times by dear, so didn't reach its potential height yet. Looks like it can be pretty big in our climate. Healthy so far and beautiful. More sun then it has in my yard will probably make colors more bright, but even with paler colors it is a beauty.

I had planned to put these two roses in a garden around my new spa tub where they would get late afternoon and evening sun. The soil in that area is very good. But I also planned on getting a couple of small bands in the mail which I could keep in my pot ghetto until I got my privacy fence put into place. But the "bands" are HUGE and I need to put them in the ground right away. I figured out some choice real estate that I can free of the plants which have failed to impress me and plant them both in full sun.

Rogue Valley sent me a photo of Marianne in the box, it is a beautiful rose, I am really looking forward to sticking my nose into a blossom and smelling the fragrance. Too bad Rogue Valley does not make scratch and sniff postcards.
