Hi there,

I'm really new to all this, but eager to learn and hope to learn alot for all of you.

I found a plant while out walking my dog that's caught my interest but been searching thought all sorts of databases all over the web trying to id it..

The plant is in seed at the moment, stands about 1M tall, was growing in place of an old hedge (the hedge has been dead for 2 years now). I live near Glasgow, UK and have a full scale scan of the leaf (both sides).

The leafs were taken direct from the main stem, with each leaf coming out of the main stem in a spiral up the stem seperated by aprox 3cm.

the seeds are in the same mannor as plants such as "good king henry","common Sorrel", "Dock".

I hope this helps with the identification of it.

all help greatly recieved, not being able to ID this is really anoying me

p.s. just tried to upload the picture but not worked out how yet.. please see a future post when I work it out
