burning bush

I just decided to go with a shrub called Burning Bush that is about 4 ft tall,it was starting to turn red when I purchased them,I planted them 5 ft apart in a very shaded area in a sandy soil ,but there is some small amounts of sun that does get through. I know that the sun is suppose to help with the red color in the Fall(I am in NY Long Island) ZONE 7 ?? Anyway, what can I expect from this bush in a shaded area ? Will the shade stunt its growth? Will I not get the red leaves? Also whats the watering recommendation for the cooler wheather on newly planted plants like this ? Whats the max size (height and width) this will get with the shade and what time frames .I know its a long question, please help.
