Anyone Grow Rose Cascade?

My boyfriend bought this rose at the $2 bin at a nursery.....[guess he figures if you cant beat em, join em] - I bought a gaggle of roses, now I look it up, find its a Delbard rose, floribunda sort, and not sold anywhere except Certified Roses and Delbard. He bought 2, I am going to give him $2 for it and swipe it. [to add to the 27 I bought]. I have not heard of this one, cant find a photo, and was wondering if anyone grows it, can comment on it or has a photo of it? Thanks!

might be a good find.Delbard hybridizes for fragrance. Ashdown sells Delbard roses you may be able to find more information there.

Here's a picture of it from the Certified Rose catalog; it is a pink groundcover. Look on p. 10 of the catalog. Pretty; looks like it has 7-8 petals.

Well, I don't know. I looked at both those roses on Help Me Find and I guess it could be. Maybe there was something about the way this GW member grew this rose or pruned it that gave it a little different look to it. And the color of the rose on the arbor seems a little coral to me, but that could just be the camera or the light. Thanks for the help. :-)

The two season old planted by the front steps (DH's idea - he just LOVES this rose) has canes 8+. This rose is a vigorous grower and will spread as wide as it is tall. It is also clean, little trouble with BS and will self clean old blooms. The blooms dry well and are wonderful little bouquets for table and food decoration.

Well, yikes, came across this old thread while trying to figure out what is going on with my Cabbage rose from RVR. Based on the discussion and pictures here it seems my two year old Cabbage Rose is really Russelliana instead. I wasn’t planning on a rambler this size! Anyone have pictures of her being trained rather than left to ramble? Can she be contained to say 8x8 or kept flat along a fence? That‘s about the most I can give her. She is beautiful and I would love to keep her if I can figure out a placement in my already crowded urban lot. I wonder if the original rose was labeled in a messy cursive and so The Cottage rose became The Cabbage rose and so it remains on the RVR website to this day 🤷‍♀️

Maria, Thanks for the description and picture, I very much appreciate them! I like the color on yours better...a bit pinker than mine. I’m hoping the color is quite distinct from Fragrant Cloud, I was wishiing for a giant deep pink version of FC. I have Dolly Parton too, the flower is magnificent but the plant is a bit of a runt. So far my favorite of FC’s kids is Just Joey, albeit it’s a totally different look I ended up giving the prime spot I had planned for Rose Sachet to Buxom Beauty, when it bloomed this season I realized I already had a huge , wonderfully scented deep pink But even from the young shoots I can tell Rose Sachet is a good grower with substantial blooms, and I think we both have a very promising new rose in our gardens. When I see more of the blooms I’ll know where to put her.

I have grown Red Cascade in the past. It is a climber
and has many very small single blooms. It's not your
typical rose.
