You provided one clue to the likely answer to your question when you said, "I woke up this morning to find a couple leaves of one of my FLFs pointing straight up", and a second clue when you said, "I haven't watered it in a couple days (I'm waiting for the soil to dry out)". There are only a couple of things that ultimately affect the leaf's attitude (the spatial position it occupies). One is turgidity, which is essentially internal water pressure, and the other is phototropism, or the plant's reaction to light. We can eliminate phototropism because it wouldn't occur to the extent you could notice it over the course of a day, unless you were specifically conducting an experiment to measure it. Here's what I think. Your plant was somewhat wilted because of an excessive amount of water in the soil (too much water deprives the roots of oxygen, which limits their ability to function efficiently/normally). This caused the leaves to change their attitude (hang down a little/wilt). During the dark phase, the openings in leaves (stomata) that allow water to escape from the plant are closed (or very nearly so). This means that a root system that wasn't able to keep up with transpirational water loss during the day while stomata are open, WAS able to keep up with water loss at night while those openings were closed. Couple this natural rhythm of the plant with the fact you were waiting for the soil to dry down, which means that root function was probably regaining efficiency with each passing day, and you can see how the pieces of the puzzle fit together. The plant simply regained its normal turgid state and the leaves went back to their pre-wilt positions. FWIW, if FLF and rubber trees (F elastica) wilt badly, the leaves are very often permanently affected and unable to recover their previous attitude. Al

I've seen this happen on roses close to Multiflora in their breeding, Especially in spring I'll see large leaves , then a cold spell happens and the leaves get much smaller. I've seen similar leaf variations in summer, when I lived in Houston and we had a month with day time highs over 100, the roses that put on new leaves put on much smaller leaves. I thanked them for continuing to put on any leaves at all. Wait for fall optimum growing conditions before you start to worry.

I was typing a long reply to you on my ipad... still saying I don't think it's spider mites, and it can't be weed killer because it's completely away from all neighbors' yards and I don't use the stuff. Then it occurred to me to go outside and look again. lol! omg, it seems to be a combination of flea beetles and little tiny green leaf hoppers! Maybe a few other things in there too. lol! I've never caught them in the act before, but it was a dewy 60F when I saw the buggers this morning. eta: there are also lots of these little things... much smaller than the photo makes it look, this is the first I was able to photograph and I notice I managed to get two in the pic! What the heck are they?

I'm glad you found some value in the comments. Thank you for your kind reply. My boss brought that to the office about 6-7'ish years ago & it had about 6 leaves. I started watering it and it started growing. The first 3 or so years, I wound the stem around the soil surface so more roots could form, then snipped off the newest leaf that was forming and the 3 dangling stems you see started to grow and I decided it was time to let them leave the nest, so to speak. I've also had pots of it with a tomato cage and wound the stems around, up, down, around again. That can be fun and looks like a solid column after a while, but the thin metal doesn't see to be enough for the plant to "feel" like it is climbing and make bigger leaves. The juvenile form that most people keep in a pot is said to be skototropic. The theory says that it is looking for something to climb, programmed to creep quickly into the darkness where there should be a trunk to climb, to get the foliage above the forest canopy and into the light. It make me wonder why plenty of light doesn't then make the leave get bigger. Possibly a security issue. But all the theories in the world don't change the conditions one has available to offer. In that case, all we can do is bring plants home and see if they like it and what they actually do. Some of them manifest theories, some do something else, some don't make it. All part of the journey.
