Cold climate winterizing fish are in garage...

I read the posts on how to winterize ponds...for many of you ice is not a problem. Today was 40F outside so rather than wait another week when we might get snow I shut down the pond and brought the fish into their tank in the garage. A little harder on the fish but easier on me as I didn't freeze getting into the pond in my insulated hip waders. This is an all day project as I empty the sc then fill it half full with pond water and the rest tap water...then pump it into the garage. When the tank is nearly full start catching the fish. It's a lot easier to catch the fish when it's colder than today but I got all of them except the koi I bought this spring. He/she has alot of black so is hard to see. Tomorrow I'll try finding him but for now it's time to sit back relax and wait for the snow. I am oh so envious of ponders who don't have -20F or colder from November till March!
