help ID this white flowering plant

We just moved to Seattle at the end of December 2010 and are renting a place with a backyard. The previous tenants were avid gardeners and left us with a beautiful garden that's been blooming all spring and summer, and I'm trying my best to take care of it. Most of the plants I've been able to identify, but one of them is a puzzler. It grows upright, produces all-white flowers, and the leaves are very broad and flat, with very visible veins. The plant stands about 3-4 feet high, although one stalk got to be at least 6 feet before it was accidentally knocked over by our dog.

Here is a link to a picture of the entire plant:

Any help with identifying this guy would be greatly welcome, as I'd love to be able to take care of it so it comes back next year!

thanks in advance!
