Please help identify my houseplant!

Hi there! This is my first time posting here.
So I have this little potted plant that I've kept on my coffee table for the last several months. It was just one of those 1-2 dollar plants from Home Depot, but it's filled out a bit, and I really like it.
Does anyone know what kind of plant it is? Considering how inexpensive it was, I'm guessing it might be one of those 'invasive' species that looks nice but is probably considered a nuisance elsewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
