Late Freezes

buford

Last night temps dipped to 29. Luckily my plants are much less leafed out than the were last year for the Easter Freeze. I do see some limp leaves and new soft cane growth that may have been damaged. The hydrangea leaves also look a bit off.

But most of the roses are ok. I did bring in my dozen Vintage bands just in case. My Japanese Maples are still in bud, so there was no leaves to be zapped as there were last year.

And, for the first time since I planted them 4 years ago, I have flower buds on one of the lilacs! And they survived! I am so excited to see and smell lilac blooms.

How did your yard make out last night?
