serviceberry tree(Autumn Brilliance) does anyone know anything ab
Comments (3)Can't say I ever saw a serviceberry in the wild - and I spent most of my first 25 years roaming the woods of east-central AL. But I have seen A.alabamensis in the D.E. Davis Arboretum in Auburn. Autumn Brilliance is probably the most widely available serviceberry in the nursery trade today, and it's a nice plant, but I've seen some that are heavily affected by cedar-serviceberry rust(or other strains of cedar rust) - with lesions on fruit, leaves, and stems....See MoreKM cabinets Chestnut, Autumn Blush, Prailine - anyone have pics
Comments (10)Thanks for posting the pics. lnersesian - your kitchen is beautiful in chestnut. This helps a lot in making my decision. lauramn - thanks for the pics. No one by me had autumn blush and that's suppose to be one of Kraftmaid's most popular color. I went in on Friday ready to pic chestnut only to walk out still undecided. I ordered a sample door in chestnut to make sure I like it both in the sunlight and at night. If I don't it will be autumn blush. Holding up my own construction - going on 4 wks now. I have the granite, style, molding picked just waiting on color. I also have more lighting being installed in ceiling and under cabinet lighting. My KD said just place the order and I still have 1 week to change the color. This way they can at least measure my kitchen. This is so tough!...See MoreAnyone have Kilimanjaro Viburnum?
Comments (4)It is just a very narrow form of doublefile Viburnum. Depending on location and growing conditions, could get as much as 8-10' tall and maybe 5' wide with the typical layered branch habit of other doublefiles.....but with a much smaller spread. And not particularly desired by Viburnum leaf beetles, which is a good thing if they are present in your area....See MoreAnyone have Kilimanjaro Viburnum?
Comments (1)I don't grow Kilimanjaro, but I do grow quite a number of different Viburnums. I don't know where you are, Jill, but here in my part of NH some kinds of Viburnums are bothered by the Viburnum beetles while others don't seem to appeal to them at all. So check to see if Kilimanjaro is one of the ones that is more susceptible to damage (I got rid of 'Blue Muffin' since it always looked tattered, though others I grow aren't) and check to see if the Vib. beetles are a problem in your area....See Morespidertaxi
