Please be aware that Albizia julibrissin, if that's the one you are looking for, is an environmentally-harmful invasive pest plant in many parts of the US. You might want to check with your state's EPPC (or appropriate govt agency) website if you're not sure about its potential where ever you are.

My A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants says to sow seed at 18-24 C in spring. Under glass, grow in soil based potting mix in full light with shade from hot sun. Outdoors, grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Alternatively, root softwood cuttings with bottom heat in early summer. By the way in warm climates Mimosa pudica is considered to be a pernicious weed. Ian

Hello, just wondering how all of your Chocolate Mimosa seedlings are doing? I have 27 seedling up and growing and doing well. They, naturally, all are green. 3 older seedlings have started to change coloring. They are much darker than the normal Mimosa and hopefully will grow darker with time. The new growth on the 3 seedlings come out green but believe they will darken too as they mature. If you will notice in pictures of Chocolate Mimosa, the new growth is always green. Don't have enough experience with these, yet, to know if this is the way things go. It may be true that Chocolate Mimosa are propgated from cuttings. If these are widespread from Iran and other areas east of there, do the folks in that area go out and make cuttings everywhere? Or do they spread from seeds? My wife and I are pleased enough that we have ordered more seed. Do not know what we are going to do with them all, just like growing things. I don't recall at this time where I saw the listings, but did see some for Chocolate Mimosa. A nursery in Woodland, Washington has several, but they cost nearly $100 for plants that are about 3 1/2 to 4 feet high. That is one reason we are trying the seed route. Wayne

You might try on the Carnivorous Plant Forum under "Exchanges". FYI - it takes a few years for seeds of VFT's to develop into into a plant the size that kids will appreciate. For about the first year, the traps are only around or less than 1/8th of an inch! I would suggest starting with mature plants. One thing you CAN do is take leaf cuttings. For those interested in these plants, I would suggest getting from the library a copy of the book, The Savage Garden, by Peter D' Amato. It's excellent & is considered the bible of Carnivorous plants. I have some VFT's & Sundews for trade. Please email me off this list.
