Photos: Will this space support four fruit trees?

A snowy good afternoon to you all -

First, I'm a longtime lurker who's been inspired by your friendliness and expertise to posters to join the group and hopefully learn and share with others!

My wife and I have a property in northern Virginia with a fair-sized yard, though one that is mostly in trees. We'd love to have some fruit trees, but there are precious few places to put them with any hope of full-ish (more like partial) sun. We have a full-sun area, but it's on our septic field, naturally, so that's out for trees.

For those with the expertise, educated opinion or sheer shot-in-the-dark mood swing, please see the attached links of the proposed mini-orchard space. Do you think there's enough space / sun for 3-4 semi-dwarf trees (2 apple, cherry, plum)?

General view (http://tinyurl.com/292z897): Roof shot taken November 2010 of the vegetable garden (left) and proposed area of fruit trees in the upper right-hand corner. The beautiful open area (with full sun!) is the septic field. That's why we have raised beds in the vegetable garden.

General view looking West (http://tinyurl.com/258a53m) : The fruit trees would go in the center distance, between the fence on the left and the tree stump / grasses on the right. Photo taken in mid-July 2010.

We would be grateful for any ideas, especially before I start buying the trees!

Many thanks,
