Anyone order seeds from this company?
Comments (4)They don't like to replace seed packs that won't germinate. They blame user error. I don't believe in putting all your eggs in one basket so I wintersowed some and container sowed the rest. 2 of the 3 milkweeds germinated. The third didn't. To be fair this was just one order. But that was enough for me not to do business with them again. I don't mind human error as long as you are willing to make it right....See MoreHas anyone heard of this seed company?
Comments (10)Nel, The parent company of SunflowerSelections.com is NuFlowers, LLC. Neither company is currently listed in The Garden Watchdog, which lists 7,376 mail order gardening companies at this time. However, I personally wouldn't let that keep me from ordering sunflower seeds from SunflowerSelections.com, which is apparently a rather new company that specializes in just sunflower seeds that were bred by one long-time sunflower breeder and geneticist, Dr. Tom Heaton. I actually plan to order their "garden giant" sunflowers, Kong and American Giant Hybrid, from SunflowerSelections myself. So, thanks for bringing them to my attention. I probably will add my report on the company to The Garden Watchdog after I grow my giant sunflowers this Summer. ZM...See MoreHas anyone ordered from Baker Seeds?
Comments (12)I'm a lurker, but had to chime in and say I love Baker Creek. Their catalog is beautiful...I'm not beyond cutting out a few pictures from it to decorate my kitchen, and it's my kids' favorite "bedtime story!" (Granted, we're a little gardening-obsessed!) Besides that, I mainly like them because they have a lot of less-common items...like the vining zucchini that "I've just gotta try" this year....See MoreHas anyone used American Accents metallic gold latex paint
Comments (0)Hi Everybody it's been a while since I was on here. I have a question that I tried searching for without luck. I used American Accents Gold 7954 Metallic Finsh paint on some mouldings a few years ago before paint was reformulated. I still have a small can of the old oil based stuff which I loved, as it gave more of a tarnished brass color that I was looking for. I called the company and they no longer make it oil based. The stuff now comes only in latex. Has anyone used this stuff? I looked at the Martha Stewart and Valspar lines and they got such bad reviews that I would be quite hesitant to waste my money on them. I just want to use it on a section of crown molding that surrounds a vintage tarnished brass lamp. The old stuff goes great with it but I don't have enough. I would really appreciate any suggestions or info you could give me!...See Moretkhooper
