The peat you want is sphagnum peat moss. Pine bark fines is not a term used in most garden centers and big box stores, but it is a term used in landscaping and the mulching industry. Look for places that sell various kinds of mulch, and they may be able to help. What I found that works is called pine bark mulch sold by hardware stores and one local garden center. If that's all you can find, you will have to look at what's inside the bag and go for the bags with most pieces well under a half inch wide. For 5-1-1 mix, the bark can be partially composted. That means that a bag of pine bark mulch that is damaged and has been rained on will probably be a better choice than one that isn't torn because that one will have bigger, intact pieces. Carlos, Paper towels and napkins make up a large proportion of the paper that goes into my kitchen bin. I put junk mail, etc into a tumbler outside to precompost a little. Depending on the type of frog,it probably does not dig a whole lot. (some dig deep). Yes frogs eat anything they can get into their mouths, including other frogs and worms. As far as setting a trap, I have no idea how you might go about it. The frog should tire out alot faster than you...

I have 3 peach trees. Contender which came grafted from a nursery, and two Indian Freestone peach trees. All 3 of my trees, I think are in their 4th year, this year. I had one peach last year -- just one on Contender. Here is a photo of one of the Indian Freestone trees from April 20. I grew the Indian Freestone trees from pits. By reputation they reproduce reliably, by seed. There is supposed to be enough genetic diversity that 2 such trees planted from seed near each other will cross-pollinate . . . Indian Free is one of the few peaches that requires a pollinator. The next one is Contender. The tree is more substantial as it was already grafted tree from a nursery planted in same year, but its flowers are not nearly as pretty. The fruit is good, though. I didn't see any honeybees this year. I see some fruit on the trees today less than the size of a pea, but some of the Indian Freestone buds are just dropping. I expect to get some fruit, just not nearly as many are setting as there were flowers. Less culling, but I'd rather cull fruit that are too plentiful than have sparse fruit.

I bring this up because we have to think of ways to conserve water, fresh water. Growing on the scale we do now is not sustainable. The writing is on the plow shears. 80% of all that water being sprayed on a field, sure it keeps you and a whole lot of people fed. But 80% of that evaporates and floats away. Now too with the fresh water we drink is being polluted by long term nutrient use using mined minerals from else where being dumped in the waters here. Or there because the smoker are going be using hydroponics because they think it’s easy. It’s is as long as you don’t mind stuffing that elephant down the drain every week or two. This machine we’re sitting in front of brings awareness unlooked for. I’m not looking to change your mind. Hell, no I’m too old for that. Thing is tho awareness is awareness. Something you can’t let go because you become aware. This awareness will keep growing like a little itch every time you go to the bathroom. Because in 5yrs your kids will be drinking that.
