Scary new pond weed here- any ideas as to ID?

Looks like wild ducks/geese have brought something to my pond, a large dirt bottomed pond.

It seemingly arrived overnight, it just appeared and it is sporadic throughout.

It is long and stringy, seems to be submurged but fairly close to the surface. The closest ID I could find was bladderwort BUT there is next to no branching (bladderwort has a very graceful appearance) and there are no bladders.

If it helps any- it is not elodia, milfoil or cabomba. Much more slender/stringy.

And it isn't really green either, very light in colour.

Any ideas? And... what would you do? Thanks!
