Shrub with pink flowers--need ID

When I was on vacation in West Virginia last summer, I found a plant in the forest that I really, really like, but I have no idea what it is. It has a nice fragrance and you can view the image at the following link.

It might be mountain laurel. Typically mountain laurel blooms point up, but mountain laurel grows all over west virginia and the blooms are very similar.

It might be Rhododendron mucronulatum 'Cornell Pink'. It flowers without foliage which emerges later. If the flowers are double, it's not that cultivar.

Funny that honeysuckle went through my mind, but I dismissed it because I didn't know it could be a shrub, and it hasn't seemed aggressive. There's only this one plant, and it's taken about ten or so years to get to this size. And, yeah, it's very pretty so I like it :) From Googling it does look like it's an exotic bush honeysuckle but not one that's invasive in Utah. I'm guessing it came from an ornamental in someone's yard deposited by a bird. It's not growing anywhere else that I've ever seen, so I won't worry about it with everything else I have that's truly a menace, like those Siberian Elms up above it. Maybe abeliophyllum distichum? There are some pinkish varieties.

Make that A. androsaemifolium. A. cannabinum has greenish-white flowers.

Interesting, the shrub looks like Symphoricarpus, I wonder if its related(Caprifoliaceae)

Oh of course, Apocynaceae, the family that includes a few prickly African sub shrubs(Pachypodium etc) and Desert Rose!

Nice pic, that's one Dogbane that I've never seen, we don't have it in my area. Everyone should know it is not a shrub but rather an herbaceous perennial.

Being in West Virginia it may not be same exact species as out here, I don't know. Same genus anyway, and certainly resembles the kind we have. There are alot of them in some areas east of the Cascade Mountains.
