Yes, but .... I have to agree with Nhbabs that those really don't look like Siberians to me. My guess is also versicolor. While a lot of the cultural information overlaps, there are some differences. Versicolor *is* a swamp plant. Around here it is found in the wild near winterberry in poorly draining areas. It also is often much less floriferous than siberian cultivars. They are hard to kill, so long as they get reasonable moisture, so I wouldn't hesitate to try a different location. However, I do strongly suspect it is simply the nature of the beast to bloom as it does. If it doesn't satisfy, then there are a lot of siberian cultivars to try that will do better. Years ago, somebody told me that water iris have dark, circular 'watermarks' in their leaves. If you hold them up to the sun, they are pretty easy to see. I know that pseudocorus, versicolor, and Japanese iris all have them, but forget whether or not siberians do. Unfortunately, at the present time I have no siberian leaves to test this on. I may be way off but I think it may be a Redbay tree. Rub the leaves and see if you get the smell of bay. It is a member of the Laurel family and is being threatened in Ga, North Florida and the Carolinas by the Ambrosia Beetle. You may notice some leaves that have a funny curl part to them. If so this is a Gall of somesort but it won't hurt the tree. If it isn't Redbay then it still may be a part of the Bay family. We planted a Redbay as a host to Spicebush/Palamdes Butterfly. But afterwards discovered that they prefer the Camphor trees that come up as volunteers in our yard. (I know they are invasive but we keep one or two trimmed back so that they have new growth to lay eggs on.) If you do have a Redbay or other member of that family, there is a group in Ga that collect the seeds in the fall to plant to get seedlings to replace the ones destroyed by the beetle. I ended up sending some seeds to a guy in Houston and he grew some to plant in the last native plant park inside the loop around Houston. They are a native plant there but they are very hard to find as seedlings. Hope this helps. Let me know if I am right.

I'm inspired by everyone's berries. I wish I had more. I have one Viburnum, plicatum I think, that doesn't have a single berry on it. though it is a gorgeous orange for fall. My serviceberry and crabapple are always so decimated by rust that I never have berries on them either. My serviceberry failures is one of my sadder failures in the garden. Does anyone have good luck with a serviceberry? Anyway, here are mine! Yes it still has berries. I have 3 already but like yours they don't have berries on them anymore. I'm going to save this one today becuase they are landscaping the area and they like to start with bulldozers. So i'm rescuing the lil fella. It is odd to still have berries. And they are on the tips of the branches they don't run way down the branch like mine but maybe that's a wild thing? The berries other than position look just like a beuty berry. Watch in 5 years i'll have figured out it's some obnoxious weed pretending to be beutiful.lol
