'weed' plant often seen in wild with deep purple berries?

Hi all. I found this volunteer plant growing in my windowbox on my balcony. Not sure how well you can see it in the photo, but it's a fast-growing plant towards the far end of my windowbox in the photo.

I can see hints of purple where the leaf stems meet the main stem. Something tells me this might be a plant I'd often seen in the wild that had deep purple berries....which I remember we'd squish as kids, and it would stain our fingers.

Any guesses? If you think you know the plant, do birds/bees like the berries? I'm wondering if I should keep this as a 'specimen plant' in a round planter, to help attract birds/bees to my garden.

Tx!!
