Comments (1)Yes; hand chopping would be prohibitive. Many years ago I recall seeing a little article in Mother Earth News of someone cutting a hole in the top of an old lawnmower, setting it up high on boards and dropping stuff through the hole. I didn't try it. I suppose it might work. You could even bolt a plate over the hole and return the mower to regular (if a little uglier) use. I think I would take a lazier approach and arrange a couple high boards into a corner; pile up the hyacinth; and run over them back and forth until you get small pieces. Maybe you would need to let them dry out first?...See MoreWANTED: Need floaters Parrots feather & Water Hyacinths

Comments (0)....I have a VERY small pond...and 1 or 2 plants sent to me in a wet baggie would be GREAT!! The only water plants I have to trade are Blue Flag Iris, water forget-me-nots or dwarf cat-tails. I have land plants...please check my trade list. Also, I would be willing to do postage. I could also send 6 or so Drosera Capensis. Please email me directly at kwyet1@hotmail.com as my email does not work well with Gardenweb. Thanks, Linda Here is a link that might be useful: my trade list...See Moreclarke
