Please help with disgusting garage problem

User

Last year when it was time to take the potted roses out of the garage in early spring, they were covered with aphids. Not sure whether they were the catalyst or unrelated, but eventually, all of my roses were covered in aphids. I had to continually spray insecticidal soap for fear that the aphids would destroy the new growth. They were literally covering every new bud.

It also left the garage a disgusting, sticky mess. Floors, leaves, etc were all coated with sticky aphid evil. It is too early to leave the potted roses out for good. I took them out for a watering today, and I could already see some aphids on the anemic garage-growth.
