Toni, what I read is...."think of it as a strength and health builder. It's loaded with the many minerals so lacking in our soils. And it's in a form that your plants can absorb immediately. That's why you see lovely changes, so fast it's almost startling!" So I do not think of it as a fertilizer but as a soil conditioner. So I am conditioning the soil so the plant can take up the fert better. Just trying to cover all my bases. Since I was not home daily to care for plants. Now that I am retired maybe I will be able to do better but I still do not think I will be a watering person. I do not like walking around giving plants water. LOL

That Dave's picture looks like a pear to me. Somebody probably found some Callery pear seedlings growing as weeds and misidentified them as a native crabapple. Assuming the plants native to a particular area are all you will see growing wild there seems to be a common mistake.

Thank you for the hint! I googled it and the pictures and descriptions really matched my plant. Here are some interesting facts I found about this wonderful plant: Plectranthus amboinicus, herb of a hundred names ��" Cuban oregano, French Thyme, Indian borage, Mexican mint, Spanish thyme, Queen of Herbs and Mother of Herbs. It has a wide variety of culinary and medicinal uses around the world. It has purple flowers. I have had mine for a few years now but it never bloomed. How do I make it flower?
