Too Hot To Handle!

So I transplanted my tomato seedlings a couple days ago into foam cups salvaged from cups from Sams Club, Mcdonalds and Chick-Fil-A, cut to 3" tall and filled with worm castings and potting mix. As you can see from the picture, perhaps the fluorescent tube lights are too close to the leaves of the seedlings. Today I checked on them and not only was the mix dry as heck, the leaves on most of these plants are 'burned' (didn't get a photo, but I know what too much light/heat looks like on foliage). I moved the lights up about another inch and a half tonight and added a small personal fan set on low (after watering each cup twice). Do you think my seedlings will bounce back? The second set of leaves is just now forming on most of them and they don't look burnt at all. Did I save the day? Any further recommendations?
