Agree that the raised beds on the link you provided are just that - raised beds, not containers, and would not be moveable even if they had a bottom in them. But containers can be used as others have said and the Container Gardening forum here is full of info on the sizes to use for various vegetables, the proper soil mixes to use, and the vegetable varieties well suited for growing in containers. Since you will be moving them you'll need to balance the size of the container used with the ability to actually lift and move it. In most cases the bigger the container the better the results but the really ideal sized pots 10-15 gallon size would be very difficult to move. Meanwhile determine which Indiana gardening zone you are in or will be in after moving - there are three of them with very different planting times - and you can use the winter to research the proper planting times for that zone. (1) Home-made mac & cheese with roast chicken (2d dish) & maybe a salad (and a succotash could be nice). (2) Chili? Popular -- can be done with beef, chicken or ground turkey, fresh corn bread on the side is quick and easy to do in volume. Corn on the cob -- halved maybe. A salad -- nothing time sensitive if you're concerned about cooking for a crowd and not accustomed to it. (3) Pasta -- easy to do batches on the pasta itself and a nice basic fresh sauce is easy -- saute chopped/minced carrots, celery, onion and a sweet red pepper in olive oil, for a few minutes, then add chopped garlic for a minute, then the tomatoes (good canned tomatoes are way better than bad fresh ones, although if you have good fresh ones at volume that's terrific -- 3/4 in the food processor and 1/4 chopped or cubed). Kosher salt, a little pepper. Some white wine a couple of minutes before the end. It's easy to augment this with meatballs or pan cooked sausages for people who want meat (chicken -- any meat that seems right). Good bread, a nice salad, maybe some oven-roasted asparagus . . . easy meal for 10 or 20 or 30.

Well, I tried the yummy treats, but the instant I lifted his tail, any thought of his eating went away. I used an electric trimmer, but didn't get much shaved--only the longer strands. I'd flinch every time he did, and his fur is so silky soft that it just got pushed around, not shaved. I know it'd help if I took off the "length guard" and used bare trimmer, but I'm so afraid of hurting him. So, I checked at Petsmart to see if they have a cat groomer, which they do. I might take him in for at least his first butt trim and then maybe I can keep it up after that (I can hope). If he ever needs a bath, I'll have to remember to use the shower or tub hand-held sprayer (never had one before till our new house we just moved into). That might make spot-treatment much easier! I'm still working on a regular food for them. Both kittens had soft stool with the female bordering on diarrhea all the time. Second trip to the vet (and 2nd med later), he said maybe the food was too rich for her, so I've had to move down the chain a bit (from the higher-end dry foods), and that's when Coco's problem started. His poo went to more firm, but stickier, "pellets" while Ellie's has stayed soft. Funnily (and thankfully), the soft hasn't posed a problem with their butt hair. We're still trying to find a canned food they'll eat. I've wasted well over $100 in the last 2 months, but I might've finally hit on one. Fingers crossed.

I was afraid to open this post when I saw the subject line, but then I remembered that this was a family friendly site :) Just lovely! While I do not miss Ohio winters, I do miss the beautiful fall colors. Thanks for sharing the scenery and your family.
