What sort of roses are you wishing to order. It makes a difference!

I can name one I would not order from and that is Hortico.

Palatine Roses

If you want multiflora root stock, Palatine. For Dr. Huey rootstock, Edmunds. Own root, Heirloom and Rogue Vally.

I love Chamblees. Just got twelve roses from them, nice size plants growing in gallon containers, very reasonable price, reasonable shipping, well packed.

If you go with anything potted, you won't get anything delivered until May if you are in US zone 5. You will get bareroots earlier. Can you tell us where you are so we can suggest places that will have rootstock best suited for you? Also definitely agree with Jeri about wanting to know what sort of roses you are looking for.

The places often seen on here with good recommendations are - Palatine Roses, Edmunds Roses, Rogue Valley Roses, Heirloom Roses, Vintage Gardens, Chamblees, Roses Unlimited, and Regan Nursery. If you are in Canada, then Pickering too. I have ordered from most of those before. My apologies if I missed any great ones.

Scratch Pickering for this year unless they can sort out at the last minute their problem with US plant importing regulations. Otherwise the other recommendations are good, especially Palatines.

Chamblees is shipping now. She may not get to plant until May, I don't know what the weather is like there, but they will ship on the date selected by the customer.

I also like highcountry roses. they send very nice size bands.I agree with what everyone else suggested as well.

Lucille, thank you for correcting me, I was not aware of that! My apologies.

In your zone you don't want anything delivered before April, at the very earliest, and probably not until May anyway. The Canadian growers tend to carry hardier roses as a general rule so they may be better for your zone too. I'd stay away from any roses that are on Fortuniana root stock too. It's not cold hardy.

Palatine is a great source.

Edmund's is a good, reputable supplier.

Pickering will have to sort out it's import problems but is also a good nursery.

With Hortico, you pays your money and you takes your chances. They don't have the best track record in supplying the correct plant and sometimes they aren't the best quality but then some people have had good luck with them so you never know. They do always list some interesting stuff though!

In the USA people have already given you some good names but I'll add a few more:

Burlington's is wonderful.

Angel Gardens has a nice selection.

A new one that I'm not all that familiar with is Northland Rosarium.

There are more but those should keep you busy for quite a while, lol!
