Peperomia crassifolia I believe.

Thank you saltcedar, but that is not it. The trunk is about the size and shape of a softball, and the leaves are not one continuing blade. But many little dark green needles bur your right that the leaves start right at the trunk and go to the end. I do Thank You thou.

Ladybugs will also control them if you have enough. If not, you can buy and release them. A few weeks ago, I noticed lots and lots of aphids under the leaves of a sunflower. The next day, I noticed ladybugs arriving, then the next day or two, I had green lacewings all over them laying eggs. Within a couple of weeks, the aphids were minimal. Last week, there were lots of aphids on that same plant again, and now I see ladybug larvae having all-day brunch. It's quite interesting to watch. Mrs H

A friend found it in her yard. We live in Venice Florida. Nothing has sprouted yet. She said it has a liquid inside of it and it smells like a cucumber. I spk to a few other people and one said looks like a cactus? they are looking into it as well. Thank you, wish I could give you more info.

saltcedar , thank you very much , you somehow saved me :) using your answer and a little bit searching on internet I found out that its exact name is "Peperomia obtusifolia".

rosemariero , thank you too , I was wondering if this plant is going to blossom , turns out it is not. BTW I too live in SD and love cacti.

Inflorescence: The flowering part of the plant, especially the way its flowers are arranged in groups or clusters -- in this case, spikes.

Spike: A form of simple inflorescence with the flowers sessile (without individual stalks) or nearly so on a more or less elongated common axis.

purpleinopp , do you mean it will have flowers???
Actually English is not my native language, so once rosemariero answered my question, I tried to look up the meaning of "Inflorescence" online, I know it has something to do with flowering but as for this particular plant I think there wont be any flower. at least pics on internet show it.

Not flowers as you would normally think of them. Get out a magnifying glass & look at the spike. You'll see them if they're there. No fancy blooms coming, sorry. A let down of sorts for this type plant, when it comes to blooms.

yep i was thinking maybe its reproduction system changed during its evolution in a long period of time. No traditional flowers and blooms now :)

Sasiiima, your English is fine! Yes, those spikes on your plant are the flowers. Similar to Caladium or peace lily but without the outer hood around the spike. It is not a traditional flower, but obviously your plant is happy to be making those "flowers."
