Another trip to David Austin's Gardens

Last weekend for my birthday I was treated to a trip to David Austin's Gardens and given the whole day to putz around the garden. It was a beautiful, very sunny day; and although many roses seemed to be "between flushes", there were still lots that were blooming away even under the hot conditions.

I took lots of photos, but mostly close ups, and mostly of roses that I don't already have photos of. I'm trying to photograph as many English Roses as I can, I'd love to have a whole collection of photos.

Here are some of my favourites from the day, even under the high-contrast conditions, there's a few in here that I really like. I wanted to share them with you and hope you enjoy them. You can also click the link at the bottom to go to my website and see the whole collection with many more photos.

Thanks for looking!

Ambridge Rose

I ended up bringing one of these home with me in a pot. I just loved the display and the scent was very strong and luscious. I fell in love.
