Does she hobble? Does she stand? Will she fly? is she weak? How do you keep her? Do you have a big flock? Questions like this help those in the know (not me) narrow down the possibilities.

Great photos and critters. Growing up, kids on our block used to collect and care for these over the summer, then release them back onto the wooded creek banks when school started. I remember looking out a window to see my younger brother prancing around in a panic with one clamped onto the end of his index finger - then chasing my mom out the back door after she picked up a kitchen knife to fix the "problem" with a friend's turtle I was caring for while they were on vacation. Fortunately the turtle had let go by the time we got to him, there was not even a scratch on my brother's finger, and I never had to find out if I really would have tried to tackle her. Always figured he more or less brought it on himself by poking at them. But never considered how much his 2-something year old digits must have looked like worms until seeing your pictures.

Sheila, I don't think he wanted to pose, ha ha. He loves his walks and the snow, the boots not so much but his feet get cold and full of snow. His dark fur around his eyes make him look mad, too. Lukki, What a coincidence! He came with the name, and he's almost 2 so we didn't change it. Harley is so cute!!! I can't wait to see him when he gets his first haircut, please post a pic if you can. Jazz just sired his first litter and they are 6 weeks old now. She wants us to come and see them, but I refuse, lol. I know I'll walk out with one, and I cannot handle 4 dogs. Facebook photos will have to suffice, I must be strong!
