This is warm growing Hard-Cane Type. You need to find some complete culture notes that relate to "warm growing/Phal/Intermediate/Hard Cane Type Dendrobiums" on the net that are written for Zone 6.

Nice looking orchid by the way and although it has a mixed up ancestry and is not a Phal. Type those notes should give you a good base on which to proceed.

Perhaps someone can add some fine tuning that relates to one parent.....

Just put Phalaenopsis Type Dendrobium in the search box on google and you will find lots of notes. The difficult bit is interpreting them so that they relate to your climate and growing conditions.

are they deciduous or evergreen?
should i water them in the winter?
pots or baskets?

Where is zone 6? Do you intend to put them outside during part of the year?
Do you have lights?

Should you mist them? No!
They will only lose leaves on very old canes
You should water them in winter but less than in summer
Pots and slightly underpotted are best
Temperature Minimum say 60F and rising during each day.

You need to find some more extensive notes and perhaps read some old posts here re Hardcane/Phal Type Dens. Nobile types need different growing conditions.

Hardcane Den/Phals are not a Phal type Den. It is a subset of Dendrobium that has Dendrobium phalaenopsis in its family tree. There is no relationship between Den phalaenopsis and the family Phalaenopsis.

Dens are the closest thing to weeds (but beautiful ones) in the orchid kingdom. They are easy to grow and very forgiving of bad treatment.

Water heavy when you water and let dry before watering again. Feed regular and you will have blooms every spring. Most Den/Phals bloom only one a hear and the flowers last about 12 weeks.
